I made two pigeons of wood and painted them.
They are looking happy in our apple tree, with no apples :-(
I cut out the pieces with a pad saw and glued together the two pieces. After painting you can't see the seams any more.
I made the birds for an uncle who passed away some weeks ago. My aunt can let them fly in his memory in their garden. I hope she likes the idea.
I know it is normally white pigeons for occasions like that, but I gave mine some brown feathers to look a little more interesting.
Doesn't you also get a light and more happy feeling when you see birds flying? For me it works ...
